How claiming works
- 1Book your panel and do your at-home draw.
A BC physician orders your test. - 2Get your receipt.
We email it after your draw, itemized for your claim. - 3Open your benefits app and start a claim.
Choose your Health Spending Account. The category depends on your plan, but it’s most often “Lab tests”. - 4Upload your receipt and submit.
Your plan administrator reviews it and lets you know.
Questions about Health Spending Accounts
Does unused money expire?
Often, yes. Many plans reset at the end of the plan year, so whatever’s left in your account now could renew before you use it. Check your balance and reset date in your benefits app or with HR, and put it toward understanding your health while it’s still there.
Can I use it for my spouse or child?
Many plans include your spouse or partner and your dependants. Choose who the test is for when you get your quote, and the receipt will be in their name.
Do you bill my plan directly?
Not yet. You book your panel, and we send you a receipt with all the information you need to submit your claim.
What if my claim is declined?
It’s usually because a detail was missing or the wrong account was chosen. Contact us and we’ll send whatever your provider asks for, such as a copy of your requisition, and help you resubmit.
Is a quote a guarantee of coverage?
No. Final approval depends on your plan’s rules and your available balance. The quote gives your provider what they need to tell you before you pay.
Does MSP cover Numia?
Numia’s services are billed privately and are not covered by MSP.
